Since its founding, 25 years ago, Tri State Gate has grown from an ancillary support company into a world-class provider of automated gates, gate products and services, and related security systems. From our home facility in Westchester County, New York, we service an ever-expanding region that includes New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont. And every job, no matter how large or small, gets the personal attention of Tri State Gate personnel.
Driveway gate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and repair — we have the answers you need. Our team of experts can design a complete, integrated gate system for you from soup to nuts. Or, more accurately, from gate panel fabrication to state-of-the-art digital entry technology. We are equally responsive to your aesthetic needs as we are to your concerns about security. And, we count the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security among our customers, so we know about security!
Already have a gate? We can still be of service. In fact, service is the cornerstone on which we have built this business. We troubleshoot issues — structural, mechanical, or electrical — on any gate, whether or not we built it or installed it. We pride ourselves on our service call response time, particularly in emergency cases.
We maintain a full fleet of vehicles to service our more than 1,500 customers across five states. Our approval rate is close to 100%. To read what some of them have to say about us, we invite you to view our testimonials.
Matthew Prato – Owner
Matt wasn’t exactly born into the automated gate field, but he has been working in it since he was in middle school! When he graduated college, he felt the tug of the family business. So, instead of pursuing a career in law, Matt came back to pick up where he left off. Since taking over the reins of Tri State Gate, then the ancillary support group for the family fence business, Matt has transformed it into a self-sustaining, independent, and thriving company. |

Mark Burns – Sales & Marketing
Mark has always been known as the guy who “gets it,” and was highly recruited right out of college. He now brings his more than 10 years of sales, marketing, and project management experience – which include the role of Marketing Coordinator for an internationally recognized sports franchise – to the Tri State team. While his focus is on expanding our clientele and being one of the friendly faces of the company, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty out in the field on installs and repairs. |

David Niebuhr – Technician
Like Matt, David, too, was groomed in the family business, as he learned the trade building and installing fences for his father. When it came time for a career move, he seamlessly changed business addresses, as he went to work for Matt’s father. It was there that he honed his skills with automated gates, developing particular expertise with motor components. |

Chris Spatta – Technician
Chris has been with Tri State Gate since he was 18 years old. He has learned the business from the ground up – literally. He has gone from digging ditches to becoming one of our lead technicians. Chris is especially adept at the technical end of the gate business; working with the telephone entry and security systems. And working with motors even occupies him when he is not on the job! |
|
John Petrucelli – Technician
John has been in the automated gate industry for nearly 20 years, and in that time has learned all of its ins and outs, managing projects from start to finish. Designing electrical diagrams, building control boards, installing and maintaining camera systems and telephone entries – John does it all, along with specializing in troubleshooting even the most troublesome gate problems. |
|
Mike Petrucelli – Technician
In the spirit of “keeping it in the family,” John’s son Michael also works here at Tri State Gate. In four years, he has worked his way up the ranks to become one of our lead technicians, responsible for his own projects. |
|
Rob Petrucelli – Technician
The addition of Rob to the Tri State team makes you wonder just what it is that runs in the Petrucelli blood! With his father and brother as in-house teachers and guides, Rob has learned the finer points of control panel construction and mechanical troubleshooting. And while working as a technician year-round, industrious Rob is also attending college and training in the electrical and welding fields. |
