Most of the time, we can be there within an hour. If we don’t have a technician nearby, the wait time may be longer. Either way we’ll give you an estimated time of arrival when you call with your repair request.
All gate systems have an emergency manual release mechanism. Most of our standard systems do this with a manual release key, which lets you bypass the hydraulics of the motor and push the gate open manually. You will need to do this for both gate panels separately. Be sure to remember to secure the gates in the open or closed position, because strong winds can move the gates unexpectedly when they’re in manual mode. If you need any help, call us at (914) 244-0018 and we can walk you through it.
This depends on the type of system you have. Systems that come with an integrated battery backup will continue to work for a limited number of cycles even if there’s no power to the unit. Other systems require continuous power to operate and will need to be opened or shut manually if the power is out. If you have a generator at your property, we suggest connecting your gates to the generator system: this will keep your gates working properly, even in a power outage.
Yes, we can repair and maintain gates of any kind — even ones we didn’t install. Let us know what kind of system you have when you call, and we’ll make sure our technicians have what they need to service your gate. If you’re unsure of the type of gate system you have, our office can help you send us a picture through text or email.
Most importantly, always stay safe. Don’t try to tamper with the main power or any other electronics unless you’ve been properly trained — especially if it’s raining outside.
